Who

Bahram Kour and Jhadagar are the creators of Spicyjihad.com. They met in the summer of 2000 inTehran, Iran. Bahram was in Tehran from his hometown of Moorcheh-Khor to take part in the championship round of The National Qiraat (the art of shrieking passages from the Holy Koran) Competition, which was held in the Hotel Azadi, Convention Hall A. Across the hotel lobby, in Convention Hall B, was Jhadagar, who had come all the way from Bahrain to attend the Star Trek Convention-Division Middle-East.

 

An accidental encounter occurred between the two men in the lobby of the hotel when Jhadagar, who was demonstrating a few complex combat moves with his Bat'leth, nearly decapitated Bahram. (Later, upon reviewing his Klingon Battle Manual, Jhadagar realized he was actually applying Mek'leth fighting techniques with his Bat'leth, which was both highly dangerous and irresponsible.) Thanks to Bahram's quick reflexes, which he attributes to years of studying the Holy Koran, they averted what could otherwise have been a major head injury.

 

After apologizing to Bahram over a pot of tea, the two men hit it off and were equally impressed with one another; Jhadagar with how high-pitched Bahram's voice could go in reciting the Koran, and Bahram with how effortlessly Jhadagar had integrated Klingon values with Islamic principles. That accidental meeting in the hotel lobby became the genesis of their close friendship.
